We offer a new student an Intro Class. You can find out the quality of skills you will acquire, and meet your prospective training partners, peer students, and instructors. If you are the reasonable, cooperative, diligent, and unique individual, you are more than welcome to join us at Academy of WingChun Berkeley. Please submit the intro class request below.

No prior experience necessary.

With consistent participation, you will acquire the skill sets and core concepts from the Basic and Advanced Student Levels (covering the first 12 levels of our IAW curriculum). No Prerequisite.  We do require a WingChun uniform, but for your first visit please dress comfortably in a white top, black pants and shoes.

Escrima Class @ Academy of WingChun Berkeley

Eacrima is an essential part of the progressive training in WingChun. Coordinate footwork alignments, body dynamics and arm movements into striking, slashing and stabbing with sticks, swords and staffs. Through partner drills that directly lead to combat functionality, you will build explosive speed, extensive balance and expansive power. Class is open to anyone at least 12 years old.

WingChun Seminar @ Academy of WingChun Berkeley

The International Academy of WingChun (IAW) presents an exciting WingChun Seminar at our Academy of WingChun Berkeley, California. During this special event — open to any interested parties of the general public — you will learn:

• Forms: Improve your alignment, balance, coordination, energy and intention in specific technical sequences
• Exercises: Train your mental force, focus and flow through rhythmic cycles of limb combinations• Applications: Use your WingChun concepts and movements as Self-Defense via dynamic partner interactions

IAW Members who have fulfilled their training requirements may apply for (1st to 9th) Student Grade testing and certification with approval of their responsible instructor.
